This beloved West Coast holiday tradition lights up Vancouver Island with music, dance, laughter, and holiday magic every December. For nearly two decades, audiences from Courtenay to Nanaimo to Victoria have made Yellowpoint part of their holiday celebrations.
For the past 18 years, Artistic Director and Creator Katy Bowen-Roberts has crafted a brand-new edition of the Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular each holiday season. She skillfully weaves together beloved musical tributes, heartwarming stories and readings, dazzling choreography, stunning costumes, festive lights and décor, and exceptional performances to create a magical celebration of the season. Each year features an all-new production, with choreography by Lindsay Sterk and musical arrangements by James Mark, ensuring every performance sparkles with fresh surprises, cherished traditions, and holiday cheer. This year's singing and dancing extravaganza features everything from The Beatles classics and show-stopping numbers from Annie to the iconic sounds of Hall & Oates and Fleetwood Mac. Add in spirited Celtic fiddle tunes, timeless jazz standards made famous by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby's beloved White Christmas, and a host of holiday favourites, and you have a show guaranteed to leave you humming, singing, and smiling all the way home.
